I just want to let you know how much I enjoy your station, your work and your words! I listen to you as much as I can…from when I first get up in the morning and am getting ready for work, in the car whenever I’m driving and as I work at home and in the yard and garden even! I love the music – it speaks to my spirit. I love the Bible teachings – they encourage me. I love the devotions, news,…well, maybe not ALL the news! Keep up the good work! God bless you all! ~ Osborne County

Hi! I just want to share an encouraging word with you guys, yesterday my sweet wife and I took a trip to Wilson Lake for the first time. We really enjoyed listening to your radio station. Your programming is so simple and organic, you guys don’t talk much between songs which is nice! You guys don’t sound like other radio stations, you have your own style. Thank you again so much for what you do! Looking forward to listening again when we go camping at Wilson Lake.

Thank you for all you do to share Christ’s encouraging words in these historic times. ~ Pawnee County

Thank you for leading people to Jesus. ~ Russell County

Your prayer card today meant so much to me. I have been struggling: Job, husband’s job, COVID-19, civil unrest…I am still so thankful for Jesus and all his promises. Your card was a little reminder that He is in control, His Word has all the answers, all the comfort any one will ever need. I listen to your station every day, I am so thankful for your programming to renew my faith daily.  God Bless. ~ Rooks County

Keep up the good work. Thanks! ~ Rooks County

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time due to COVID-19. There is power in prayer, and I believe God used KPRD to help my sons when they needed it the most. So, again, with a very humble heart, thank you for all you do for the KPRD listeners. ~ Ellis County

(Jason Kennedy, Ellis County Health Director joined the morning show) I have not heard more correct and clear information anywhere else! He is on the mark and making sense! There is no panic in his message. Thank you, KPRD! ~ Barton County

The awesomeness KPRD gives to the community is great! Keep it up! ~ Graham County

Hi, I just want to let you guys know, we really love your radio ministry. My sweet wife and I were listening this past Saturday evening after 7pm. We were camping at Lake Wilson, I really enjoy the variety of music. I heard some really, good old songs I haven’t heard in a long time like... Thank you so much for having SRN news. That is so helpful to be informed. Thank you so much for having weather reports. When we were out camping, I forgot to bring my NOAH weather radio. I could have easily checked the weather on my phone, but I wanted to take a break from using my phone. Anyway, hearing the weather report was so nice, especially camping outdoors. Keep up the great work! We area young married couple in our thirty’s, you are really reaching our generation, thank you so much.~ ?

I've decided a cup of KPRD is just as important as a cup of coffee in the morning!

Happy to be your underwriter! ~ Ellsworth County

I just wanted to let you know how very blessed I am by your radio ministry!  I am so grateful it is available.  I have a 30 minute commute each way and being able to listen to your station really helps make that time with the Lord special.  The music is with me all day and I often wake up with a song in my mind / heart.  I also recall the words of certain songs in stressful moments.  I really love your programming.  I moved my family here from out of state a few years ago and your station has been a bright spot to all of us!

KPRD Praise Radio, 88.9fm, it is a blessing! I like that I can now switch from one station to the other and still hear the same thing! My route takes me from Hays to Colby and then Hill City, Plainville, Russell, and back to Hays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I run the route the opposite way. It's been a little adjustment because I was used to when different programs were on during the night as I was driving! Now I'm adjusting to the new schedule for the radio programming!

  • What is a Faith Promise

    What is a Faith Promise

A prayerful commitment between listeners and the Lord, in which listeners pledge a certain amount of money, as the Lord provides, to keep KPRD on the air for the upcoming year.

Faith Promises can be made on monthly or one time basis.

Monthly gifts are important,as bills at KPRD have to be paid on a monthly basis.

No matter the size of the gift, they are all very much needed and appreciated.

If you are not able to fulfill your faith promise, we will not send out the bill collectors.  After making a faith promise, though, most listeners are able to pay the full amount as the Lord provides.

  • What is Sharathon?

    What is Sharathon?

Three and a half days of special programming in which prayer and financial support is raised for this non-profit, listener supported radio ministry. Those funds will be used to cover the operating needs for the upcoming year.

Our goal for this Sharathon is to raise $260,000 through monthly or one time financial gifts.

Since 1994 KPRD has been on the air proclaiming the Good News through music and programming.  Each year God provided!  As we head into our 26th year, we are once again seeking His provision to continue sharing the Good News!

If you appreciate the ministry of KPRD, if God uses this ministry to encourage you, to strengthen your walk with the Lord and if you enjoy having a local Christian station on the air in Midwest KS.  Please pray about making a one time or monthly gift to KPRD Radio. More at or call 855-889-5773.
